Plan, build ….float or maybe sink!

Under the watchful eye of an Arethusa Instructor, teams of up to 12 design, build and race your raft in the Great Arethusa Raft Race.

The rafts can either be built using our ‘Mechano’ style kits or using the team’s own design.
There is a set amount of resources and time which can be used for the construction phase.
This session teaches communication, leadership, organisation skills and following instructions. It’s great fun and great for teamwork!

Racing takes place either at the Arethusa Watersports Centre in Basin 2, Chatham Maritime, or on the River Medway at the Arethusa Venture Centre, depending on the ability of the participants and weather and tide conditions.
