Arethusa has lots of experience working with young people who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream, sometimes through no fault of their own.
Arethusa offers outdoor challenge and adventure to aid confidence and self esteem.
For some young people a full day is too much to handle and a short session may be more appropriate. Here a programme of visits, once a week for 6 weeks for example, can help a young person who needs some routine and stability in an otherwise chaotic life.
Arethusa has had many positive results in this area finding one particular activity where a young person, who may find many things difficult, gets a sense of achievement. Whether it is sailing or climbing, it does not matter, it is about trying to focus their energy into something positive where they can gain self worth by achieving success.
Whatever the challenge presented by the young people, it is likely we have seen it all before! We like a challenge ourselves so if you would like to bring your group to Arethusa, give us a call and we can discuss options with you.
The Arethusa Climbing Complex has indoor and outdoor climbing facilities for beginners through to advanced climbers.
