Arethusa Watersports Centre

Based at the Chatham Maritime Docks, Arethusa’s Watersports Centre is the place in Kent for Sailing, Kayaking and Canoe courses

We are a British Canoe Union Approved Centre and RYA Training Centre, licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority, which all adds up to the very best in safe supervision and training and plenty of fun for everyone involved!

Our regular watersports centre programme includes;

Watersports Club: Club Evening Thursday: Kayaks, Canoes and Sailing

Day Visits : Dinghy Sailing, Kayaking and Canoeing, Initiative Games, Raft Building & Raft Race Courses

Watersport Courses:

• BCU 1, and 2 Kayak
• BCU 1 and 2* Canoe
• RYA Power Boat Level 2
• RYA Youth Sailing Stage 1 & 2
• RYA Adult Dinghy Sailing Level 1 & 2
• Logbooks, badges and certificates issued

Thanks to our highly experienced instructors and extensive equipment absolutely no experience is necessary for any of these activities. Schools, youth groups and the disabled are all welcome to take part in our activities and receive expert instruction, whether it’s just for fun or to work towards RYA or BCU qualifications.
